Reuse gives new life to old objects, focusing on reusing an object or its parts and returning already produced materials to circulation in the idea of wasting existing resources as little as possible, and upcycling. Upcycling is a higher form of the well-known recycling, bringing back into circulation things that were intended to be waste. However, upcycling is not based on processing (which is what recycling is characterized by), and is based on minimizing processing as much as possible. Therefore, the main raw materials in the activity are still unprocessed, no longer useful everyday items, in whole or in part, which have been discarded from households (or are destined to be discarded) due to wear and tear, damage or loss of aesthetic value.

During the PLGBC Green Building Summit 2025, the stage and chillout/networking area will be partially equipped with furniture prepared in the spirit of upcycling.
